Developed and manufactured at Forge Motorsport HQ in Dorset, the FMHFIP1 high flow intake hardpipe is engineered as a direct replacement for the restrictive OEM MINI intake pipe and integrated resonator system found on B38 and B48 turbocharged MINI models

Constructed from lightweight mandrel-bent aluminium with CNC-machined connections, this single-piece design eliminates the airflow disruption and restriction created by the factory plastic pipework and resonator chamber. The result is improved airflow efficiency, sharper turbo response, and enhanced induction acoustics throughout the rev range.

Unlike the brittle OEM plastic assembly, the Forge hardpipe uses precision-formed aluminium tubing combined with hand TIG-welded CNC-machined couplers to provide superior durability and a smooth, uninterrupted internal airflow path.

Designed for straightforward installation, the pipe retains compatibility with all OEM plug-in components including:

  • Vacuum take-off points
  • Factory mounting locations

 

This ensures true plug-and-play fitment without the need for cutting, adaptation, or additional modification.

The FMHFIP1 can be installed with:

  • The factory MINI airbox
  • or the Forge Motorsport induction system (FMINDF56/FMINDK26)

 

High-quality silicone couplers are included to ensure secure sealing and long-term reliability under increased boost and temperature conditions.

To maintain OEM-level fit and clearance, the pipework has been carefully contoured to suit the confined space between the engine, chassis, and surrounding components on the MINI F5X platform. No modifications to the vehicle bodywork or surrounding pipework are required during installation

 

Important Compatibility Information

This product is designed for earlier B38 and B48 MINI turbo layouts.

It does NOT fit:

306hp JCW models

GP3 models

later LCI2 306hp variants

These vehicles use a revised intake and turbo configuration which differs from earlier MINI F5X platforms.

 

⭐ I am amazed at how many places Mini has tried to restrict the airflow in the F56 (and I’m sure previous) design. I can count at least three places to impede airflow on the stock F56; up pipe, downpipe, mid-pipe, and exhaust. Add one more place to the list, the stock intake pipe, yep, another resonator. The huge bulge on the stock pipe is yet another place to impede air flow. The Forge hard pipe eliminates the stock resonator blocking air flow and really opens up the turbo ⭐
